Lt. Erwin Hensch, USS Indianapolis survivor. Hensch was one of four USS Indianapolis survivors interviewed for this podcast. After the tragedy, Lt. Hensch accompanied Captain McVay to Washington DC to assist McVay with the "After Tragedy" reports and to write condolence notes to families of shipmates lost at sea.
